On Wednesday, February 9, the MSG participated in meaningful Sharsheret Pink Day activities. In the morning the pink-clad talmidot were privileged to hear an inspiring presentation by Tamar Sheffey who spoke about the power of community and the importance of Sharsheret. They then created a pink achdut chain, with each girl writing a message of inspiration or the name of someone that she davens for. The chain will be hung from the ceiling as a reminder that כל ישראל ערבים זה בזה.
In the afternoon the girls joined together in the PAC for a relaxing afternoon of yoga and meditation with Mrs. Sheinbein.
The middle school boys and girls sold pink cookies throughout the day. They raised over $600 which they are proudly donating to Sharsheret.
RYNJ is grateful to the Sheffey family who sponsored the program in memory of מלכה חיה בת יעקב, a”h.
