Earlier this month, Read Across America week was enjoyed at RYNJ. Each class in third through fifth grade was paired with a class in grades Kindergarten through second. The older students visited the library to thoughtfully select picture books that they thought their buddy classes would enjoy. They then visited the classrooms with their selections, pairing off so that the older children could share their stories with the younger ones. The older students joyfully read to the younger ones, and the younger students adored being read to as well.
