On March 28, the seventh grade girls of the Rosenbaum Yeshiva “followed the yellow brick road” as they performed הקוסם מארץ עוץ , an original Hebrew production of “The Wizard of Oz.” The students have spent the past two months rehearsing their lines, designing scenery, creating costumes and props, incorporating technology components, choosing a tzedakah recipient and gathering auction prizes for their benefit performance. The talented and energetic RYNJ girls presented the play three times on Tuesday, and then took their show on the road and put on the play for the residents of the Hebrew Home in Riverdale. The girls raised over $1,100 and were proud to donate the proceeds to Project Yechi. All family members, friends and RYNJ students who attended “The Wizard of Oz” agreed that the show was awesome and that every girl was a shining star.
