RYNJ Second Grade Boys Establish Hall of Fame

What better way to recognize some of the leading lives of famous Americans than to have them spotlighted on the Hall of Fame Wall? That’s what RYNJ’s second grade boys did to wrap up their nonfiction unit.

All three boys’ classes went to the RYNJ library where they had two sessions in which they learned how to research. Next, they chose a biography book that appealed to them.

After reading the book, each boy took the information he read and created a poster stating the facts and accomplishments of the personality he researched. The biographies ranged from George Eastman, to Thomas Edison, to Helen Keller, to Walt Disney, to Jackie Robinson and so many more. The boys then took their posters to the halls of the second grade wing and created their own Hall of Fame.
