Mazal tov! RYNJ welcomed sixth-grade girls and their moms to the Orah Visimchah bat mitzvah celebration. The banquet looked a bit different from years past; but the simcha and the nachas were as great as ever!

The bnot mitzvah enjoyed a delicious banquet with their friends, morot and administrators. They heard divrei bracha from Mrs. Wexler and Morah Shotkin, exchanged beautiful bat mitzvah gifts with one another and played a guessing game with the fabulous cups that parents had made just for them.

In the evening, all sixth-grade mothers had the opportunity to celebrate with their daughters as they watched the Orah Visimchah video together. The bnot have been spending the year focusing on the women role models who inspire them—from Tanach and from their own families. The girls created original artwork gifts which they presented as gifts of appreciation for their mothers, incorporating the pasuk from אשת חיל that they felt best described their mothers.

It was a momentous day and evening that the bnot mitzvah will always remember as a highlight of their sixth-grade experience.
