RYNJ students headed out to the park for a wonderful autumn STEAM park day. First and second grade students found, traced and identified leaves. Then, they used their collections, as well as natural resources brought from home and additional supplies “purchased” from a teacher store to build an animal of their choice. Third and fourth graders were faced with a park related problem and built a prototype of their solution. It was incredible to see their creations in action as they collected garbage left on the floor, and raked leaves that covered the playground.
