To celebrate their accomplishments in the study of Rashi, the third-grade girls of RYNJ participated in a special Rashi program.
The program began with the story of Rav Yitzchak’s jewel told by Rabbi Fulda. Each girl then received her Rashi headband from Rabbi Price. They then broke into three groups and worked on three different Rashi activities. The girls put their knowledge of Rashi to the test in the Rashi Scavenger Hunt where different clues within Rashis which they learned led them to spell out a special word. Next, fast-paced games of Rashi Spot-It showed the girls how well they know Rashi script! Then, each RYNJ talmida created a beautiful Rashi door sign to take home. The event ended with delicious cupcakes for everyone symbolizing the sweetness of Torah learning.
