This past week at RYNJ, the sixth grade concluded a six-week invention-research project with an exciting and interactive scavenger hunt. After researching an invention in the library and writing a research paper, every sixth grade student created a PowerPoint presentation and logo to represent their original invention. Fifth grade students were invited to a scavenger hunt set up by the educational technology team, where they learned all about the inventions and enjoyed the PowerPoint presentations. As the sixth grade students took a leadership role by owning their inventions and taking pride in their work, the eager fifth graders absorbed the knowledge.
