HaRav Yisrael Meir HaKohen, the Chofetz Chaim, zt”l, himself would be very proud of 10 RYNJ middle school students. Sixth grader Ephraim Sheinbein, seventh graders Tzvi Ginsberg, Avraham Glatter, Shmuel Yosef Hirschprung, Shimi Kaufman, Aryeh Kolber, Akiva Kra, Noam Steinmetz and Mayer Sytner, and eighth grader Moshe Klavan who have participated on a regular basis in a class studying Sefer Chofetz Chaim five minutes daily before שחרית. The RYNJ students completed the entire Sefer, and as a reward, they were taken on a trip to the Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation headquarters in Monsey. At the CCHF, the boys were greeted very warmly by Rabbi Shia Steinberg. Rabbi Steinberg gave the boys a meaningful shmuz on the topic of shmirat haLashon, complimenting them on their accomplishment. He then showed the boys a powerful video on the topic of showing sensitivity to the feelings of others. After the video, Rabbi Steinberg took the boys on a tour of the CCHF facility, showing them some of the advanced technology used to promulgate the teachings of the Chofetz Chaim to people of all ages all over the world.
