Imagine flying through the air on a human swing, balancing yourself on a thin wire tightrope, climbing a huge wooden ladder 25 feet high, scaling a challenging rock climbing wall, dangling over the park on a high trapeze or maintaining your equilibrium as you climb a tall swinging tire wall. RYNJ middle school students had a sensational day at Ring Homestead doing all of this and more! It was mighty chilly on the leaf carpeted wooded paths and ropes courses, but RYNJ students excitedly worked on fine tuning their clear communication skills, problem solving skills and even their critical thinking skills by accomplishing some amazing challenges. These activities helped students develop confidence, utilize a “growth mindset,” persevere even when the going was a bit tough and amaze themselves with all that could be mastered when they supported each other and enthusiastically cheered one another on! The students were model campers, and they received the highest compliments from the Ring Homestead staff!
