Rosh Chodesh Shevat took on an added layer and something new for RYNJ first graders. Students have become proficient in their kriah skills to receive a new full-size siddur from which they can daven from and connect to Hashem. Rabbi Price emphasized that when we learn Torah, Hashem is speaking to Bnei Yisrael but with tefillah we have the opportunity to speak to Hashem. Rabbi Wachtel presented a brief interactive lesson connecting the Pesach Seder to the Siddur.

As a special treat, a cupcake decorated with an image of Siddur was given out to each student. Mazel tov!
