The SAR school community commemorated Yom HaZikaron and celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut in meaningful ways. With 132 hostages still in captivity and our chayalim actively fighting, these days hold profound significance as students honored their sacrifices and celebrated Am Yisrael’s unity and resilience. The school transitioned from Yom HaZikaron to a joyous celebration of Yom Ha’Atzmaut, beginning with a musical Hallel on the steps and a joyous and uplifting gathering on the field, highlighted by sixth-grade daglanut troupe. The day included a competitive and fun Israel-themed Maccabiah for grades one through five, Beit Sefer Lamusika, and a trip to Van Cortlandt Park for the middle school. It was inspiring to see students connect with Medinat Yisrael in proud and heartfelt ways throughout the week.
