SAR Academy students in grades one through eight paid tribute to our fallen soldiers in advance of Veterans Day. Ruth (grade 5), Liam (grade 5), and Ben-Ami (grade 3) Robinson, sweetly spoke of their abba, a non-combatant officer serving as a chaplain in the National Guard. SAR parent Beverly Wolfer-Nerenberg also spoke of the importance of remembering all those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the lives we live and the freedoms we have both here in the U.S. and in Israel. On April 6, 2008, Beverly’s brother, Major Stuart Adam Wolfer, was tragically killed while serving as a soldier in the Green Zone, Baghdad, Iraq. The Major Stuart Adam Wolfer Institute (MSAWI) was formed to carry on his legacy of leadership, commitment to his country and community service.
