Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

In a wild affair, SAR stunned TABC in the Bronx by a score of 6-5. Flurries of goals defined the first two periods. SAR scored the opening goal of the game, but the first period ended 2-2 after a hectic sequence in which three goals were scored in less than a minute. TABC controlled much of the second period to take a 4-3 lead, and extended it to 5-3 early in the third. However, the Sting displayed remarkable resilience. SAR scored three goals in a row, highlighted by a Yamin Semer snipe off a pass from captain Adam Nayowitz with 11.7 seconds remaining to win the game. In addition to Semer’s goal, Yonah Fenster netted the tying goal and Alex Levy and Adam Freilich each scored twice. For TABC, Shlomo Gellman’s hat trick led the scoring, along with goals from Jonah Gerson and Jake Rothenberg. SAR, now 4-0, moves into a tie with Frisch for first place, while TABC tumbles to the sixth position at 1-2.
