On October 26, from the get-go, the SAR junior varsity girls’ volleyball team dominated the match. Although it was the first match of the year for the Sting, they displayed confidence and controlled the pace of the match throughout the night, as a result of converting on both their serves and slams. Led by star player Hayley Yurowitz, the Sting defeated the Rapids in straight sets, starting their season 1-0.

While the JV squad had no issue with Ma’ayanot, the varsity team struggled miserably. Due to the dominant performance from Ma’ayanot’s Talia Kupferman, the Sting could never get in rhythm. Despite efforts from seniors Sylvia Scheiner and Yael Weitzner, the Sting fell short of a comeback as they were defeated by the Rapids in straight sets.
