SAR Hosts Grandparents At SARts Showcase

SAR High School had the pleasure of welcoming approximately sixty grandparents to a special Women’s History Month-inspired edition of their monthly SARts Showcase Series, offering grandparents a meaningful way to experience life at SAR with their grandchildren. SARts provides opportunities for students and faculty to showcase a wide range of artistic and performance talents and to celebrate the vibrant artistic and cultural opportunities that SAR offers. Grandparents sat alongside their grandchildren to relish paintings, a choreographed Yo-Yo routine, digital art, SAR’s String Ensemble, drawings, a student-composed original song, scratch art and faculty musicians. The crowd oohed and aahed, laughed, applauded, and even sang along to express their enjoyment.

“Grandparents day was such an amazing experience where I got to show off SAR to my Grandma!” says Eliana A. “We both had the best time watching all of the SARts performances, especially an incredible Yo-Yoer. My grandma loved getting to hear about all of the exciting things happening at school. I got to sit and eat lunch with her and introduce her to my friends which was so special!”

Following a warm and lively lunch, our guests had the privilege of hearing from Rabbi Tully Harcsztark, Founding Principal and Dean of Machon Siach, who shared words of Torah and exciting updates about SAR’s latest initiatives. He spoke about the incredible projects enriching SAR students’ educational experience and offered an inspiring glimpse into SAR’s future. With the school community continuing to grow, Rabbi Harcsztark highlighted the expansion plans underway to ensure that SAR remains a place of excellence, innovation and connection for years to come.

SAR is so grateful to all the grandparents who joined for this special day. Their presence and support play an essential role in shaping the SAR experience, bridging generations and strengthening their shared commitment to Torah, learning and community. SAR looks forward to many more moments of connection in the future.
