SAR HS Brings Home Gold At Science Olympiad

For the second consecutive year, the SAR Science Olympiad team won the championship trophy at the Yeshiva League Science Olympiad on Sunday. The SAR team took first place in two events, second place in five events and third place in two events. Over 150 students from 11 Jewish high schools in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area competed in 12 events.

“I really loved going to the Science Olympiad competition,” said sophomore Elijah R. “It was such a cool experience to compete with and meet other kids from Jewish schools who were interested in science just like me. I hope to attend again next year.”

The students on the team worked hard to prepare and spent a whole day at the Olympiad. The competition was intense. Their stellar performance demonstrated passion, intelligence and dedication. Thank you to the science teachers who coached members of the team in the various events. A special thanks to Dr. Feng and Ms. Brandriss for being present and helping out at the event.
