On October 24, SAR HS commemorated Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its annual Pink Day! The health club, led by seniors Eliana Sastow and Brenna Pearlstein, sold food items, pens, bracelets, face stickers and phone wallets during lunch and activity periods. All proceeds will benefit the organization Sharsheret. This year SAR initiated its first ever Sting pink shirts and a portion of the sales from each T-shirt sold will also go to Sharsheret. Thank you to Kyra Appel (HS ‘20) for the design.
Huge thank you to Helene Schonbrun who took the time out of her busy day to come and share her story and educate us about breast cancer. Thank you so much to Eliana Sastow (HS ‘19), Brenna Pearlstein (HS ‘19) and to the entire health club for organizing the annual Pink Day!
