This past Sunday, yeshiva league held its cross country running season championships at Van Cortlandt Park in Riverdale. The league, which now boasts nine cross country teams with over 80 participants, saw runners take to the 5k course like never before, with more races, runners and personal records (PRs) under their belts. Congratulations to TABC on winning the boy’s championship race, and to the SAR High School girls team on winning the girl’s championship race! The SAR teams worked harder than ever, both in practices and on their own, to conquer the rolling hills of the course and achieve their goals for the season. Star SAR runners included team co-captain Kaila Zimnavoda (second place), Nina Kornfeld, and Mimi Kranz and SAR boy’s team member Daniel Tsesarsky. As the season draws to a close, teams look forward to seeing everyone back on the track come spring!
