Want to further enhance your high school experience? Join a club! From AI to Mahjong, bowling to broadcasting, botany to karaoke, there’s a club for everyone. A great way to build relationships with peers, hone your leadership skills or express your creativity, SAR High School’s Club Fair offered students a chance to explore over 80 co-curricular clubs that will be active this school year.
On Wednesday afternoon, the gym was packed with representatives from each club who were on site to tell prospective members about what makes their group special. Students had a chance to visit each club’s table to find those that appealed to their specific interests or pursue a personal passion.
“Based on student feedback we brought the Club Fair back to the gym,” said Bonnie Myers, who is part of SAR’s co-curricular team. “It was a great success! The gym was full of energy and enthusiasm. Students got to mingle and learn about clubs that they may not have known even existed. Joining new clubs is as easy as scanning a QR code now. Club leaders were excited to promote their clubs and showcase all of the amazing things that they do.”
All of the clubs are featured on Club Hub, the club platform that is used by the school where students can sign up for a particular club, learn about upcoming meetings and events, and communicate with other club members. Students can access Club Hub through their school devices or download the app from the App Store or Google Play on their phones.
“It was an amazing opportunity to be able to see all the different clubs and the amount of effort each leader put into their clubs,” said Yossi M. “I am looking forward to participating in the video game design club.”
