SAR HS Hosts Career Day Seminar

SAR High School hosted a Career Day Seminar for the Senior Class of 2025 on Monday, March 10. The students learned about careers in Business, Medicine, Tech, Creative, and Helping professions (PT, OT, PSYC) from fifteen different presenters featuring five different professional fields. A unique component of the program was that the speakers the students heard from were parents in their grade.

The impetus for programs like this is that while most Yeshiva High School students do have clear career hopes for themselves, many do not have any idea about how to get into these industries. Teens lack insight into networking and interning, and how to balance being a Jewish working professional committed to their faith and community. This innovative program helped answer questions they had and offered guidance for pursuing their future careers.

“I really enjoyed hearing from experts in their fields and learning about building a network to help build my future career,” says Ayumi S. “This hands-on experience was invaluable to me and gave me a clearer direction about how I should pursue my career journey.”

Due to the success of the program, Career Day will hopefully become an annual event and initiatives are already in the planning stages for the rising senior class.
