SAR HS Juniors Visit College Campuses

The SAR High School Class of 2025 took a break from the grind of the school day to check out college campuses throughout the Eastern seaboard. Buses loaded with excited juniors left SAR bright and early for campuses in New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The students were given an opportunity to experience life on both large and small college campuses, some in urban cities and others in more rural areas. In between information sessions and walking tours of each school, there were student panels featuring current students who shared what it is like to be part of the Jewish community on each campus. SAR High School alumni welcomed students, making sure they felt comfortable, and answered any questions they had about their schools. The students also had the chance to sample some of the great kosher food options that the colleges have to offer. They returned home feeling informed and motivated to begin their college process.

“I really enjoyed seeing student life on campus,” said Oriyan W., “and it was interesting to hear perspectives from different students about how they stay in touch with the Jewish community there. I felt a sense of community from the short time I spent there.”

Meirav K-R added, “I got some good ideas of what I want out of a school and what more to look for. It makes it even more valuable when seeing other schools with my parents.”
