SAR HS was excited to welcome the class of 2028 at Freshman Orientation last week.

After tefillah and breakfast, students were introduced to key members of the faculty and administration before breaking into advisory groups for their first advisory session of the season. The schedule continued with other important sessions for students such as iPad setup, learning about the school’s mission statement with Rabbi Harcsztark and Rabbi Kroll, and participating in team building activities.

“When I started SAR I was nervous to meet new people,” said Gavi M., ”but once school started, I was happy to see that SAR is a welcoming community for everyone.”

After a delicious pizza lunch and ice cream bar served by senior LEADers, the program concluded with bonding ice breaker games led by members of the faculty and a grade wide Mincha.

“During orientation, I loved playing ‘wa,’ says Gabriella B., “especially with new people that I hope to grow closer with through my time at SAR.”

There’s no doubt that the Class of 2028 brings new energy to the Hive and excitement for the year ahead.
