The SAR JV boys basketball team defeated DRS on Sunday, 47-39, in the quarterfinal matchup. SAR next plays TABC this Monday night, with the semifinal game played at The Hive. Against DRS, SAR had plenty of balanced scoring, with Shalom Hazan leading the charge with 12 points, Ely Neuwirth and Charlie Eden each contributing nine, Netanel Hyman with eight and Henry Mann, six. The Sting played its fiercest defense of the season against strong competition, employing a box and one against DRS’ best player, with Meyers, Hyman and Mann rotating throughout the game in the stopper role. Eden had many shots blocked in the bottom of the zone. It was a team victory that left the Sting excited to play its next opponent.
