With Rosh Hashanah approaching, Schechter kindergarten students explored all things apple: They examined the star at its center with the help of magnifiers; charted and graphed their observations; conducted taste-tests and wrote about their favorite varieties; they capped off their learning with uncovering the significance of the apple and other symbolic foods eaten during the Jewish new year, and studied the meaning and notes of the shofar blasts.
