In preparation for the Carnegie Hall Link Up concert, fifth grade girls participated in an original dance challenge. Schools were asked to create choreography for the musical piece “The Dancing Moonlight.” This dance will be the feature of the concert and accompanied by the orchestra. Three dances were selected out of dozens of schools and MDS 5G was one of them! Videographers and a professional choreographer from Carnegie Hall came to MDS to create a video of their dance. They were blown away by the originality and creativity of the girls. Everyone cannot wait to see them featured on the big screen at the Carnegie Hall performance on May 23, in front of thousands of students and teachers from across the state.
