During Sharsheret’s annual Pink Week, Ma’ayanot was grateful for the opportunity to support Sharsheret and raise awareness about breast cancer. Students were privileged to hear directly from a cancer survivor that was grateful for the support and encouragement that Sharsheret provided her and encouraged the students to be proactive about taking care of their health. Throughout Pink Week, we emphasized the value of V’nishmartem M’eod Lnafshoteichem by creating a week of awareness about self care and physical health in general. Students enjoyed fun and active programming including sessions on nutrition and how to get in touch with your inner zen. Ma’ayanot also got into the Purim spirit by dressing up in their best 80’s outfits for a special Pink Week zumba session. Students also got involved as they designed and sold sweatshirts, with all proceeds to benefit Sharsheret.
