Naaleh marked Pink Day with a two-day celebration. On Tuesday, grades rotated through different pink crafts. Students created pink pom pom key chains and tie-dyed T-shirts pink to wear to school in support of breast cancer awareness the next day. After davening on Wednesday, representatives from Naaleh’s REACH for Chesed committee read a moving story written by a woman who has benefited from Sharsheret through her diagnosis, treatment and remission. The story helped students appreciate the crucial role of an organization like Sharsheret. The students then joined in extra perakim of Tehillim for cholim. After Tehillim, the students enjoyed pink donuts and made brachot in the merit of speedy refuah for Shira Shatzkes. The REACH committee raffled off pink prizes to raise funds and awareness for this most special organization!
