RYNJ First Graders Begin Their Chumash Learning

This past week, the first grade students of Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey reached an important milestone in their lives as they received their very first chumashim. In front of their parents, relatives and teachers, the students presented a spirited program of singing songs about the importance of Torah learning in the life cycle of a Jew, and highlighting the themes of Ma’aseh Breisheit (the creation of the world) and Shabbat. Through the latest technology of video and audio, the songs were accompanied by videos depicting various themes in the Torah as well as a day in the life of students learning Torah at RYNJ. Following the presentation, each child was presented with their special chumash, along with candy to indicate that learning Torah will always be sweet in their mouths. Even more importantly, the talmidim and talmidot were so excited to use their brand new chumashim the very next morning when they learned their first pasuk of Chumash.

The RYNJ Mesibat Chumash was a beautiful and meaningful evening and one that the students and their families will remember. The evening sent the message to the first grade students at RYNJ that they should always flourish in their love of learning Torah.
