RKYHS is proud to announce its students who qualified for recognition from the National Merit Scholarship program. Seniors Jacob Colchamiro and Eliana Klibanoff were selected to continue on in the National Merit Scholarship process as semifinalists. Five RKYHS seniors—Betzalel Brickman, AJ Keiser, Jesse Koppel, Maurice Korish and Joseph Wolkoff—were named National Merit Commended students. Of the 1.6 million program entrants, each of these students is among the top 50,000 highest scoring participants. Colchamiro and Klibanoff were selected among 16,000 other students nation-wide to advance to the semi-finalist round. All semi-finalists will have the opportunity to continue the competition for the chance to win one of approximately 7,600 National Merit Scholarships, worth more than $30 million, which will be offered in the spring.
