On Thursday of Chol Hamoed Sukkot, the students of Nefesh Yehudi Academy welcomed Rabbi Joshua Hess, newly installed rabbi of the Young Israel of East Brunswick. Rabbi Hess brought a game to engage all students, grades k-five, covering topics on Sukkot, Hoshana Rabba, Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah. Even the heavy rains outside couldn’t distract the students from their tasks. At the end of the day, the entire school was able to participate in birkat lulav and etrog. With only one day of classes amidst this marathon of chagim, the students learned so much and had a blast.
