Last week, BPY celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut by transforming the building into Eretz Yisrael! Early childhood students were issued passports to board a plane to Israel where they went fishing in Eilat and prayed at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Elementary and middle school students received Tzahal training, squeezing fresh fruit, making pitas and learning about famous Israeli inventions. In the evening, BPY hosted its famed daglanut show in which kindergarten through eighth grade students performed custom dances for BPY families. It was a festive, fun and beautiful day celebrating Israel!
