Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy seniors experienced an amazing treat as they traveled to Israel, led by Rabbi Shimmy Trencher, upper school principal, and United Jewish Federation of Stamford, New Canaan, and Darien Shaliach Yoav Yaron. On their trip, they visited the Kotel, learned about battles to take Latrun and about Israeli tanks at Yad Lashiryon, visited the Gush Katif Heritage Center, received a tour of the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem, learned about archeology in Israel at Emek Tzurim, traveled through time at the Jerusalem Time Elevator and much more. The BCHA seniors participated in an Israel education program based on OpenDor Media’s Israel Unpacked and Scott Shay’s Conspiracy U. To say that this was an unforgettable trip would be an understatement.
