JKHA Nursery 3 Prepares for the Chagim

The yeladim in Nursery 3 were busy acclimating to a new school, classroom and friends. They were also busy getting ready for all of the chagim. Nursery 3 students learned about Yom Kippur and Sukkot. They discussed that they go to shul to say sorry to Hashem for all the mistakes that they have made during the year, and how important it is to always try to do the right thing. The class created a mitzvah tree that grows with more leaves when the children perform mitzvot.

The children learned that on Sukkot, we use all of our five senses—touching the lulav, smelling the etrog, seeing the Sukkah and its decorations, hearing voices singing, and tasting the delicious meals. There was a taste test of three different colored apples. The class graphed the results of their favorites.
