Two days after the assassination attempt on Yehuda Glick, a right-wing activist, police arrested a second suspect who worked with Hijazi at the restaurant in the Begin Heritage Center. Police arrested a second suspect, also an employee in the restaurant operating in the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem. They suspect he assisted Moataz Hijazi, the terrorist who shot and badly injured Yehuda Glick. Hijazi was shot and killed. Police believe the suspect supplied Hijazi with information that helped him plan the shooting. However, it is not clear whether the suspect knew that Hijazi was planning to assassinate Glick. Hijazi was employed in a restaurant operating in the Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem and that was despite the fact that he was known to pose a threat. The Center often hosts senior political figures, including MK’s, Ministers, including the President and the Prime Minister.
The teenage son of Yehuda Glick, the Temple Mount activist who survived an attempted assassination a week ago Wednesday, entered the Temple Mount on Monday to pray for his father’s health. The prayers coincided with Glick’s fourth surgery and doctors say there is no longer any danger to his life. Palestinian Muslims refer to visits by Jews to the Temple Mount as attacks, denying that the holy site holds the same religious significance for Jews.
