See Something Good, Say Something

I am sure there are times when you have put so much effort into something and you feel it has gone unnoticed. It seems that all the time, money or work you did was for nothing. Before I go into the parsha, I want you to remember that Hashem notices all you do, so keep up the great work! However, in Parshat Pekudei, we are not told about Hashem seeing. We are told Moshe saw all the work that Bnei Yisrael had done for the Mishkan. He had seen that they, Bnei Yisrael, did the work which Hashem commanded them! After seeing that beautiful sight, Moshe blessed them.

Moshe is teaching us something very valuable! When you see someone doing something good, taking time for something that seems hard, or just doing something you appreciate, make sure to say something positive. The word or words you may utter, whether a blessing like Moshe, a thank you, or “this is amazing,” can make a person’s day. In a second, you can make someone happy and feel good about themselves, which can cause them to continue doing mitzvot. We each can be like Bnei Yisrael and take action to follow Hashem’s will, but we can also be like Moshe Rabbeinu and learn to empower others by praising their good deeds and efforts. Take it upon yourself to start looking to see who deserves to be praised and praise them. May you all always the efforts of yourself and those around you! May you bless them and feel blessings rain upon you for your goodness!
