Learn the words below to figure out the joke:

נֶחְמָד – Nice

רֵיאָלֵטִי- Reality

הַחֶלְקָה עַל הַקֶּרַח -Ice skating

סִפּוּר חַיִּים -Your life story

בִּשְׁבִיל – For

לְהִתְקַדֵּם בְּרֵיאָלֵטִי – To be famous

נָפַלְתִּי – I fell down

Solution:

Ice skating is nice, but to get social media attention, something dramatic and sad has to happen in your life… so, I took a dive.

Teachers Corner:

In order to get attention from his peers, one of my students was acting like a class clown and being oppositional to authority. I said the fame and the attention that you get by falling on your face are fleeting. If you want acceptance and attention that will not melt when the sun comes out, then be yourself: No one else is better qualified.

On Purim, be the best clown you can be; in class, be the best student you can be.

If all you want to be is a clown, then that is the only thing people will remember about you. Be the best student you can be and the attention, acceptance and friendships will remain and endure because it will be based on something that is real—the real you.
