Seforim for Moriah Readers

This week, 8th graders from The Moriah School took a short trip over the George Washington Bridge to visit the YU Seforim Sale. As an annual excursion for Moriah, the visit has become a highlight on the school calendar for both students and teachers.

This year, in addition to the excitement and wonderment of attending the largest Jewish book sale in North America, students were challenged to an Instagram Photo Contest. In groups, students created Instagram accounts to post pictures of themselves with their friends and favorite seforim. For each picture, teams earned a raffle ticket that went into a drawing later in the day. In the end, it was Team SeforimSaleSwag that collected 26 tickets and won the raffle; only Team YasherKoach came close with 10. Many students walked away with a new siddur or sefer, and all left with a greater appreciation for the vastness of Torah publications that were on display.
