Seth Roland Soccer Camp at FDU: ‘Where Soccer Camp Meets Summer Camp’

Are you looking for a fun sports camp experience for your son or daughter that teaches skill, technique and strategy, but is not too intense?

Do you want your child to attend a camp that has been around for 21 years, and whose camp director played and coached soccer for the United States in seven World Maccabiah Games?

Is it comforting to know that your child can be attending a soccer camp that has children from a variety of congregations in Teaneck, Bergenfield and Englewood?

The Seth Roland Soccer Camp at FDU in Teaneck (www.sethrolandsoccercamp.com) offers three one-week sessions during the month of July. Campers can register for one week, two weeks or all three weeks, and discounts are provided for multi-week campers and siblings.

Campers can attend for either a full day (9 a.m.-3 p.m.) or half day (9 a.m.-noon). Campers bring a ball, sneakers and/or soccer shoes, shin guards and lunch. There is one coach for every seven campers and there is a full-time NATA certified medical trainer there at all times.

Director Seth Roland, who has been the Division I men’s head soccer coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University for the past 21 years, describes the camp in the following manner:

“We have a diverse group of local boys and girls, mainly from within 15 minutes of our Teaneck campus, who range from beginners to advanced soccer players. We believe in mixing a quality soccer learning adventure with a less-intense, less-competitive atmosphere…the kids learn soccer while having lots of fun!”

There’s a mix of public school kids and private school kids.

The one thing they all have in common is that they have fun while learning soccer.
