From sunrise to sunset, beachfront living offers endless possibilities for taking in nature’s calming beauty of the infinite sea. We’ve gathered some local activities surrounding VIDA, our new development luxury beachfront project in Israel, and asked the local professionals to share their thoughts about this beautiful area and their specific passion.
Trail-Hiking
Gador Nature Reserve is described by Israel’s most popular online hiking guide, Tiuli.com, as one of the most beautiful stretches of shoreline in the country. (Ranked No. 2 on their top 7 list.) It even has been said to remind some hikers of the Seychelles Island beaches. Gador Nature Reserve stretches from Olga Beach in the north to Michmoret in the south, offering several unique hiking trails.
The trails pass through wild nature, clear lagoons with soft sand, huge rock formations, wildlife, and flowers that bloom in the summer. The trails are comfortable to walk, either following the shoreline or along the beautiful Kurkar ridge that offers a magical sight of the shoreline and open sea.
Surfboarding
Lynn Surf & Therapy Club is truly synonymous with Olga beach surfing. She and her dedicated and skilled team teach, train, coach and guide youth and adults in the therapeutic journey they discovered in surfboarding.
“Our club offers a framework and space for people to focus on surfing as a means of self-development, growth, and empowerment. We help our surfers of all ages in acquainting themselves with the sea while acquiring the skills that connect them to this amazing sport. We offer year-round sessions for groups, individuals, and families right here at Olga Beach where the waves are safe and perfect for learning.” To learn more visit https://lynnsurf.wixsite.com/therapy.
Freestyle Diving
Freestyle diving is an emerging sport along the coastline of Israel. Arik Zinger is one of its leading enthusiasts: “The vastness of the ocean can sometimes feel overwhelming in its magnitude and strength. When diving into its waters in the natural form of freestyle diving, an amazing connection happens with all that’s around you. No devices, no noise, just you and the quiet life that surrounds you. The reefs opposite Gador Nature Reserve offer a much-welcomed and magical asylum from the challenges of our day-to-day reality. And if you get lucky, the sea turtles, mantas and exotic jellyfish serve up an extra dose of unfiltered magnificence.” To learn more or to hire an instructor, visit https://bit.ly/3Xqhd9X.
SUP (Standup Paddle-Boarding)
The SUP is an easy and fast water sport to learn. In the last decade, SUP has become the most popular water sport in Israel. Amit and Dana of the SUPAWAY club were the first to recognize the potential inherent in the SUP surfboard and over the years have developed dozens of different activities and training methods around it. The SUP is suitable for all ages and does not require prior knowledge or experience in water sports. A SUPAWAY surfing course is spread over four one-hour sessions. The first meeting takes place inside a shallow lagoon of calm waters, and based on progress you can be out in the open waters by session 2 or 3. The course takes place every day on the hour between sunrise and sunset. For more info visit SUPAWAY.com.
Open Sea Kayaking
Located 10 minutes south of Hadera at the beautiful beach of Tel Gador in Michmoret is the Amigo-Surfski kayaking club run by Sagiv, who said: “Kayaking is life. It’s an activity that allows us to enjoy active serenity away from all the surrounding madness. Kayaking is staying active, it’s adrenaline, a lifestyle, and a way to maintain a healthy body and mind. It’s a whole-body workout while
simultaneously experiencing a personal, natural, therapy session. The sea is the ultimate therapist’s couch.
“Our club is located in Paradise. It’s probably better to enter Amigo-Serpask in Waze but this spot is truly amazing in its natural beauty and kayaking along the shoreline of Tel Gador and its cliffs is spectacular.
“Our sports club is more than just a facility. We have become a hub where friendships are created and experiences are shared. We offer our club members unique experiences such as sunset outings, full moon outings, kayak trips in Israel and even around the world. We’ve created a genuine community surrounding the love of kayaking by people aged 20 to 80. In short, kayaking is a heavenly experience.” To find out more, visit

Scuba Diving
The magic is apparent in the name itself. Centuries of history and beauty can be found when diving with the skilled team of the Old Caesarea Diving Center. “Our diving center is run in a family atmosphere with instructors who stay with us for years and make our customers truly feel at home.
“The proximity to the center of Israel can be confusing because the feeling of freedom can trick you into feeling like you are on some remote, ancient beach in Greece. To the west of the club in the sea is a unique archeological diving site that is visited by divers from all over the world.
“Below the surface of the water, you will find the port built by Herod 2,000 years ago. It was the largest port in the ancient world and one of the three most important ports for trade in the Roman Empire. The location is exciting, historic, and amazingly beautiful! Another very useful fact about our location is that the club is located right next to a breakwater that protects us even on days when the sea is high, which would make diving in the open sea a lot more challenging. From first-time snorkelers to experienced divers; everyone is invited!” Find out more at Caesarea-diving.com.
Wingsurfing
Nope, not a typo! This new sport is as dynamic as it is exhilarating. Every few years a new surfing element pops up on the surfing scene and attracts thousands of new “addicts” around the world. Amit Inbar, a world champion in surfing and a leading surfer in Israel is the founder of SUPAWAY water sports club and is a pioneer of teaching various surfing styles in Israel.
Amit was the first to develop a training system available for wingsurfing in Israel, and the course is available at the SUPAWAY club located at Michmoret Beach. For more info visit SUPAWAY.com.
Imagine yourself enjoying a morning coffee on your terrace while overlooking the vast open sea or sharing a cold beer at sunset with a friend while curling your toes in the soft sand on the beach. Though these are not included in our activity list, they are surely worthy of mention as part of what would be your everyday life of luxury beachfront living in Israel.
