Seventh Grade Noam Knights Beat the Sting in Home Opener

The 7th Grade Noam Knights defeated SAR 46-26 in their home opener.

Noam dominated play to start the game, but missed a ton of easy shots and would have trailed going into the 2nd quarter had it not been for Ari Kaminetzky’s buzzer beater from the corner that gave them a 9-8 lead.

In the 2nd quarter the tenacious play of Gabi Antosofsky and Yehudah Mirwis helped Noam build its margin to 21-14. In the 3rd quarter, starters Yoni Mann and Billy Krause came back into the game after having to sit for most of the 2nd quarter with three fouls each. The combination of Yoni’s offense and Billy’s shot blocking and rebounding was too much for SAR to handle as Noam went on a 15-4 run to put the game away.

Sam Bendheim (10 points and all over the place defensively) and Ruben Melzer (dominating on the glass) were the stars of the game.
