(Courtesy of Sharsheret) Sharsheret, the national not for profit supporting Jewish women and families facing breast cancer and ovarian cancer, is proud to announce the Sharsheret Summit, a four-week initiative continuing through Nov. 10. This summit aligns with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and focuses on education, awareness and hereditary cancer risk.
The ongoing summit features seven webinars led by top medical experts from institutions like the Basser Center for BRCA, Duke University School of Medicine and City of Hope. These sessions will address advancements in cancer care, screening and the latest innovations in treatment. Each webinar is free, recorded and accessible to the public.
Key webinars include:

- Breaking Boundaries: BRCA Vaccine Developments: Leading experts discuss breakthroughs in breast cancer vaccines.
- From Fact to Fad: Screening Myths: A critical look at the latest trends in cancer screening. Watch this live on Oct. 15 at 8 p.m.
- Cutting-Edge Innovations in Cancer Care: This webinar will explore the role of molecular biomarkers in treatment decisions and preimplantation genetic testing.
Additional events include a cultural competency training for healthcare professionals on Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. and a Sharsheret in the Kitchen program on Oct. 30 a cooking demonstration to promote healthy eating habits for cancer prevention. There is also a Sharsheret Book Club: “The Amen Effect,” with Rabbi Sharon Brous on Nov. 6.
