Shin Bet Nabs Major Terrorist Network in West Bank

Israel Security Agency in collaboration with IDF exposed and nabbed a Hamas network in the West Bank last month. Hamas has been developing this network for several months in order to initiate a massive wave of terror attacks against Israel.

The extensive terrorist network operated in the West Bank, recruiting militants and planning attacks on Israeli targets including the Teddy soccer stadium and the light rail in Jerusalem. Also planned were car bomb attacks and kidnappings.

The network was orchestrated by the Hamas command in Turkey, which recruited Hamas militants trained abroad. The ISA investigation led to the arrest of over 30 activists and the confiscating of M-16 rifles and explosives.

The investigation further revealed that some of the militants were recruited and trained in Jordan in 2012, and were deployed in the West Bank in 2014 to start planning the attacks. They held secret meetings, prepared the foundations, and collected information concerning the targets.
