Fair Lawn—This year Congregation Shomrei Torah of Fair Lawn is celebrating its 40th annual dinner, which will iy’H to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2015. This event will express the synagogue’s hakarot hatov to three couples who have contributed immensely to the Shomrei Torah community and Fair Lawn at large: Sharon and Michael Glass, Ceil and Sam Heller, and Rachel and Daniel Krich.

Sharon and Michael Glass, this year’s honorees, have been involved in Shomrei Torah for over 30 years. In addition, Sam coordinates minyanim and bikur cholim at the Daughters of Miriam Center, where he teaches a weekly Torah class, and works with disabled adults residing at JADD. Ceil, who had been a practicing CPA, continues to emphasize her strong Jewish values both in and outside of the home. She has been an active member of the Sisterhood and continues to provide chizuk privately to individuals when needed. Both Ceil and Sam continue to show their dedication to the Fair Lawn community.

Rachel and Daniel Krich are this year’s recipients of the Young Leadership Award. They moved to Fair Lawn without knowing a soul, and their enthusiasm and willingness to get involved have quickly made them staples of the Shomrei Torah family. Daniel lains most Shabbatim, and can be found leading the Daf Yomi shiur. Rachel is always willing to help and has been energetically involved in many Sisterhood events. Both Rachel and Daniel actively demonstrate their shared commitment to the Fair Lawn community. For more information please go to http://www.shomrei-torah.org.
