Beginning September 2, Glatt Express will be bringing back their loyal customers’ favorite promotion. For every $100 spent in the store, each customer will get a free chicken. In years past, Dani Secemski, head of operations at Glatt Express, noted that some customers didn’t know what to do with the overwhelming amount of chickens they
received. This year customers will have a choice. A freezer will be available in the store for these chickens to be collected and donated to Tomchei Shabbos. In recognition of the store’s continual support of their efforts over the past years, Sara Zilberstein of Tomchei Shabbos shared, “For years, Glatt Express has been a willing and enthusiastic partner of Tomchei Shabbos. We are so grateful to be a part of their Yom Tov promotion.”
Community service has been the mission of Glatt Express since its transition of ownership to the Secemski family almost nine years ago. Owners Tammy and Ken and four of their five children reside in Teaneck. Son Dani, recently married, runs the daily operation of the store. In the family tradition he sees the role of a local establishment to accommodate the needs of the community. Glatt Express caters shul kiddushim, sheva brachot, bar/bat mitzvahs and other occasions. Adjacent Lazy Bean, part of the Glatt Express enterprise, has hosted Latte & Learn classes for a local group and is available for birthday parties, sheva brachot and multiple other gatherings.
Prior to Rosh Hashanah and Pesach, Glatt Express provides the majority of local shuls in the community with gift cards to be distributed to members in need of additional resources before the holidays. “As a community store, we look out for the community and encourage those in need to approach our Glatt Express family.’”
This year’s tantalizing new offerings for the chagim will include seven new dishes incorporating the pomegranate, a fruit symbolic of the season. These will include pomegranate beef strips, pomegranate Dijon chicken legs and cutlets, pomegranate Moroccan glazed meatballs, grilled salmon with pomegranate reduction and avocado and quinoa salads with pomegranates.
After the holidays, Secemski shared, Glatt Express will be offering freshly made items that will be prepared in consultation with local health coaches and nutritionists. “We are always looking for new ways to best serve our clientele through healthy, nutritious, varied and tasty dishes. As members of the community, we are here to serve it in the best way possible.”
Take-out orders placed before September 2 will receive a 10 percent discount. See our listings in The Jewish Link and visit us at GlattExpress.com.
