SI Ferry Hawks Host Jewish Heritage Night

(Courtesy of SI Ferry Hawks) The Staten Island Ferry Hawks will be having their annual Jewish Heritage Night Thursday May 30, at 6:30 p.m. This year, Jason Marquis and Shlomo Lipetz of the Israeli National Baseball Team will be honored and available for autographs and photos. In addition, one all star from each team in the Metropolitan Yeshiva High School League will be honored by going on the field at the beginning of the game with a Ferry Hawk player for the “Hatikva” and national anthem. Each team is invited to attend in their jerseys and hats to be announced at the game. Girl softball teams are also invited and have one member all star also be honored during the pre-game ceremony.

Jewish Little Leagues, bring your entire teams to support Israel, have a great time and also be announced at the game. Contact Michael Goldberg for discount tickets at [email protected]. The FerryHawks play in the competitive Atlantic League and are in first place. They are conveniently located from Brooklyn, Queens, New Jersey and Long Island at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park. There are only great seats near the field, easily accessible to catch baseballs. There are plenty of fun activities for children to do during the game. Glatt kosher food will be available, along with many kosher snacks. See you on May 30!
