Elizabeth Kratz, editor of The Jewish Link, visited Mrs. Malkie Gerstle’s students at SINAI Shalem@ Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls, to talk about news journalism, so they can create their own articles for their school newsletter. Mrs. Kratz shared a little about what she does every day, and talked with the girls about how she works to gather facts and quotes to write each article. Then each girl wrote her own article, with a fun Mad Libs exercise created for the class. Jewish Link editors and publishers are enthusiastic about visiting local classes studying journalism.
