SINAI Names Esti Herman Chief Development Officer

On the eve of its annual benefit dinner, SINAI Schools announces the appointment of Esti Herman as its new Chief Development Officer.

“Over the past few years, demand for our services has grown rapidly,” says Managing Director Sam Fishman. “We are delighted to welcome Ms. Herman, with her years of experience in fundraising and development, to help us expand and grow to keep up with this demand.”

Esti Herman comes to SINAI following 18 years at Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl (CCOC), serving for 10 years as their executive director and the driving force behind that organization’s annual fundraising efforts.

“Without a question, every child equally deserves a fair chance,” says Herman. “SINAI Schools gives them that chance, and that’s why I am so excited to join SINAI’s amazing team of dedicated, passionate professionals.”

Operating inclusive special education schools for Jewish children in grades 1-12 as well as programs for adults, SINAI is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading Jewish schools for children with complex learning or developmental disabilities whose needs cannot be met in a regular education setting. Each of SINAI’s schools is housed in a partner, regular-education Jewish elementary or high school, providing an inclusion experience that is personalized for every single child.
