SINAI Schools Celebrates Annual Dinner

(Courtesy of SINAI Schools) Nearly 1,000 supporters gathered on February 23 for SINAI Schools’ 2020 Annual Benefit Dinner. SINAI honored Rabbi Yosef Adler, Peggy and Philip Danishefsky and Rabbi Yehuda and Laurie Minchenberg. Brad Ruder, president of BRAD-CORE/Humanism in Building and founder of Senior Source, accepted SINAI’s 2020 Community Partnership Award. The award each of them received was an original piece of artwork by a SINAI student, created thanks to SINAI’s Paley-Mironov Art Therapy Program.

SINAI’s feature documentary, “Heroes Today,” premiered at the dinner. A sequel to SINAI’s acclaimed “Heroes,” which premiered in 2012, “Heroes Today” revisited the Minchenberg family, who have three children at SINAI. In the face of so many obstacles, the Minchenbergs’ faith, optimism and gratitude are nothing short of inspirational.

SINAI also shone a spotlight on an alumni couple, Avi and Shlomit, who recently were married. SINAI’s dean, Rabbi Yisrael Rothwachs, presented the couple with a wedding gift, and expressed that their marriage is a “celebration of not only their marriage and success, but the successes of all of our students.”

The night as a whole paid tribute to the unique programming provided by SINAI Schools, which, in the words of featured speaker and SINAI parent Adeena Rosen, “meets every child where they are.”
