This past Sunday was one of the most intense basketball games I’ve ever seen. Lucky enough I got to see two awesome sisters play against each other in the MGBL second and third grade girls’ championship game. Devora and Eliana Friedman go to RYNJ and live in Bergenfield. Devora is in third grade and played for Best Glatt, while Eliana is in second grade and played for Teaneck Doghouse. Devora and Eliana’s parents wanted them to be on separate teams so each of their girls can develop their own unique basketball experience. Oddly enough, both girls made it to the championship game. Their parents were in a tough position of rooting for both teams at the same time, it was fun to watch! They played against each other one other time during the regular season and thankfully it was a tie!

Unfortunately, this time there had to be a winner…..
